About G3

The G3 Mission

Online G3 nurtures critical and creative thinking in a diverse community of gifted learners by providing a supportive and flexible online homeschool curriculum. By pairing passionate teachers with engaging and interactive academic content, G3 offers appropriate acceleration within an accredited, secular, and affordable education program.

We designed Online G3 courses to appeal to gifted learners who crave new challenges and believe that learning should be fun! Classes emphasize critical thinking and teachers encourage children to draw their own connections between ideas.

The G3 Community

At G3, we believe that learning is a social endeavor, and gifted program students long for high-quality peer interaction in their classes and in their personal lives. All G3 classes include peer-to-peer learning opportunities, as well as access to moderated social discussion forums in our cooperative online community.

In live webinars, students are able to interact with the instructor and classmates via online tools embedded within our Zoom and Nearpod software. Webcams are not used to protect student privacy and allow students to focus on learning activities. However, students can share their academic ideas at any time via the chat box, by raising their hands to request microphone access, and through the interactive real-time Nearpod assignments.

Outside of webinars, students interact in their classrooms by responding to questions in the written discussion forums. Some assignments may invite students to share their creative projects or Voicethread presentations for peer feedback as well.

When students aren’t busy attending webinars or completing “homefun” assignments in each gifted program course, they can be found on the social forums, posting on a variety of topics, such as Minecraft, Legos, board games, art, and more! A longtime favorite forum is “Continue the Story,” where students collaboratively write works of fiction and design original characters.
